March 2 was a very successful day for Cooper Elementary's "KoalaBots" at the VEX IQ State Championship at Monroe County Community College. They double-qualified for the 58-team event by earning a Teamwork 2nd Place Award, and an Excellence Award, the highest award in VEX Robotics, during the regular season. The team placed 22nd after 8 qualifying matches, and placed 9th in the final round. Together with their alliance partner, they also achieved the 5th highest match score for the day out of a total of 232 matches; and they placed 19th in the Skills competition.
